When I first saw the title of the post in my e-mail, I thought it was about what types of COMPUTER bookmarks might be telling you about your life, LOL!!

I'd imagine you might not be the only one. 😄 But there was a life before computers, and I'm old enough to know it. 😅

What a nice idea for a post. I really like reading these small, seemingly random stories! And it's impressive that you kept your bookmarks/cards for such a long time.

At the moment I use nature brochures... Makes me remember to read the brochures as well! But often I don't use a bookmark at all and imagine that I will remember the page, which of course I usually don't...

Thanks for reading, Hannah! Happy you liked them! 😊 Cool, bookmarks that you can read as well. I like it!! Oh, trying to remember the page wouldn't work for me ... 😂

This is a lovely insight into your life and some of the things that are most special. 🥰 I used to collect postcards from all the different places I went. I used to keep them in an old shoebox under my childhood bed. I wonder if they are still there, in my parents’ house. 😂 Thank you for this wonderful piece of nostalgia!

Oh, and about keeping postcards in an old shoebox under your childhood bed: For my part, I still have a big box of letters from pen pals I had about 35 years ago in a wardrobe in my parents' house. 😂

It is. Maybe I should take them home with me next time I visit my parents. ☺️

Oh, what a lovely read! I use postcards, (vintage) playing cards, 'official' bookmarks I got when I bought a book and sometimes a reciept when I can't find any (but I replace the last one as quickly as possible 😄)

Claudia, I loved this! The way you’ve shared the stories behind your bookmarks is so grounding. I can relate to your love of postcards—I used to collect them (along with stamps!) when I was younger and have always used them as bookmarks. They feel personal, each holding its own story. My favourite one has a rainbow on it, just like your new one, and it reminds me that after the storm, hope is always on the horizon 🌈

Thank you so much, Dana! 😊

That's lovely that your favourite one also has a rainbow on it! And yes, you are right, a rainbow is such a hopeful sign! 🌈

Wow I love this idea. Embarrassingly, more often than not my bookmark is a torn piece of paper 🤣

At the moment though I'm using the lovely one that @emily male sent me. It would be so interesting to know what everyone uses for bookmarks.

When I was a young child, I was obsessed with snow white. It would finish playing, I'd take the VHS out and then beg my mum to rewind it to watch it again straight away 🤣

Thanks, Haley! 😊

Well, a torn piece of paper does work, right? We don't have to make it complicated. 😄

Lovely story! The young people today certainly don't get why we had to rewind a tape to watch a movie again. Those were the days ... 🤣
