Sounds like you are on a good path! There must be some wild places in northern Germany...
Our early lives are very similar, it is fascinating! I first wanted to be a farmer too (even though I had no idea what a farmer was; I just thought farming meant living in nature), and then a vet - and now I'm neither :)
Thank you, Hannah! 😊 I'm definitely going to find some of those wild places next year.
That is indeed fascinating, thanks for sharing! By the way, I have to admit that I didn't have a complete picture of what it means to be a farmer either at that age. Living in nature and with animals appealed to me then. ☺️
There are so many interesting fields to work in, aren't there? So, what do you do now (if you don't mind me asking)?
Well, you've definitely stayed closer to our previous career aspirations than I have. :) But of course I get that working as a biologist in an office is different from what you probably imagined back then.
Beautiful, Claudia 🥰 I can relate so much to it. Being in nature, for me, is one of my basic needs, like water and food. It puts everything into perspective—my whole life, my problems, and the entire universe. I'm so happy you are feeling better 🖤
Thank you, Tuğba, for taking the time to read my story, to comment on it and for your very kind words! 🥰 Yes, I absolutely agree with you, nature is a basic need for me too. It's probably for every human, but we tend to forget that in all our busyness and the big cities and the indoor life many of us live.
I can relate to all of your story! I was the same as a kid, always outside and so connected with nature and then life and my career and stress got in the way and before you know it I was so disconnected that I had to consciously make a choice to reconnect with nature. Fully agree that gentle steps is the solution 🌲
You are living proof that it's possible. 😊 I love inspiring journeys and I'm all excited that I am now on my own path back to a closer connection with nature, too. 🌳

Have a lovely, calm December! ☃️
Well, I am sure *some* farmers live just like we imagined!
I am a biologist now, but sadly not one working outside with real creatures but rather an office one...
Same to you, of course!!

Thanks for sharing - and for the good wishes! 😊
