Thank you, Sophie, glad you enjoyed it! ππ (Although itβs all the "wrongβ season for you now, isnβt it? π) Hope you have a great time off from work and enjoy every day of freedom, creativity, trying something new or just doing nothing! π₯°
In Georgia, my family watches for the sand cranes to fly over every Thanksgiving in memory of my Dad who always looked out for them and called us to see the beauty. π§‘π
Thank you for sharing the photo of the cranes! I thought they might fly like with their neck softly folded like the grey herons which haunt the canals. Now I know they fly like swans, reaching their necks towards the horizon.
Thanks for reading, Sarah, and for taking the time to comment. Great that this post was so unexpectedly helpful. They are such wonderful birds! π§‘πππͺΆ
Herons are frequent visitors here. Standing on the neighboursβ flat roof at sunrise eyeing the fish in the next-door neighbour's pond. I love to watch him so close by. Beautiful!
Well, I might have a soft spot for birds by now, not only the elegant, gracious ones. π¦π
I'm not a birder, but I have always loved nature and learned as much as I can around it. I live, work and write from an off-grid narrowboat, so I'm lucky enough to have herons as neighbours.
Iβve found my way back to nature a while ago after too many years of disconnection and canβt believe that it took me so long to notice it. It has turned my life around, and my love for nature is a big part of my life now again. I love to explore and learn and read as much as I can about and around it as well. πΏ
I love the diary format, Claudia, and how you share all the small rhythms and tiny anchors with us π I especially love how you captured the way calm after a storm can literally recharge us π«Ά
So happy for you to have taken the time to secure your memories of these days between the storms! Well done! Those cranes!! Oh my! They are beautiful and so close! I hope you make a reminder on your calendar to come back to this post periodically for its wonderful soothing qualities. I am doing that! :-)
Thank you so much for your kind words, Sandy! I'm so glad it resonated with you the way it did. It is very special for me to see how the small, simple, but, if you look closely, beautiful things I find in my little garden inspire others too. No big adventures needed. Just noticing what's around you. So beautiful, so soothing. Thank you for being here!
What a beautiful read Claudia! Reading I was oooh-ing and aaah-ing with you. The cranes, wow! And I'm so happy for you that the squirrel is back in your garden! They are indeed so cute! The mushrooms, the yellows, the unexpected pink... Autumn, I love it! π
Thank you so much, Hilda! It's so lovely to share these little stories and experiences with people who understand what I'm talking about and share my excitement and happiness. Thank you for being here! π§‘ππππΏπ
